Description

Gaming has grown in significant ways since its inception in the 70s. There have been vast changes to the way systems are handled. There have been changes to hardware that have allowed for more robust music and visuals. There has been the integration of story and character to video games. For all of those changes, there has been one thing that hasn’t changed and that is art design. Art design has always and will always be an integral part to the way games are made. So what we wanted to do for you today, kind listener, is sort of take a look back at the differences between old school pixel art versus the more modern looking polygonal age and talk about both and what makes them special and maybe even fight about which art design is better.
