Historically Black Colleges and Universities have existed for more than a century, and yet they still remain somewhat of an open kept secret outside of Black America. But what makes these universities unique? As a proud HBCU graduate myself, I set out to answer that question as only I know how: I called up a handful of my friends across the country to sit down and tell their stories. What started as a highlight segment on ESPN that celebrated black excellence on the gridiron, We See You is a collection of conversations with black media professionals, athletes, business owners and some old college buddies who explain why they love their HBCUs and what the universities have meant not just to them, but to countless generations of black and brown college students.
