Reese Sabatini-Blake | I Used To Be...Paralysed
Dean James interviews Reese Sabatini-Blake about her experience of becoming hemiplegic, meaning she was paralysed on one side of her body. Reese went in for a brain surgery, aiming to reduce the quantity and intensity of her seizures, however after having a stroke on the operating table, she woke up having been paralysed on her left side. Reese was told she would never be able to walk again, unaided. However she discusses with Dean how, through sheer determination and an understanding of the science behind neuroplasticity, she was able to get back to 99% of fully-able movement. Reese is a best-selling author and holistic mental health professional, using all of her past experiences of adversity to tell her story and help others through he work.
