The Missouri State Pen operated from 1836-2004 and is reportedly haunted AF. With all of the emotions, suicides and murders within the walls for 168 years, it is not surprising!
The prison held 4,900 inmates at its peak, meaning some cells held 8-10 people at a time.
39 individuals were gassed there and the last one was executed by lethal injection. Out of the 40 who were put to death there was one female named Bonnie Heady.
