Description

In a major development, Rudy Giuliani, former New York City Mayor and personal attorney to Donald Trump, has been officially disbarred in Washington, D.C. This decision comes months after Giuliani lost his New York law license over unfounded claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

Giuliani, a member of the D.C. bar since 1976, had his license suspended in 2021. A D.C. ethics committee recommended in July that his license be permanently revoked, which was finalized today. He was one of the leading voices pushing false claims of voter fraud after Trump’s 2020 loss to Joe Biden.
