This summer Alice Guo, the mayor of Bamban, fled the Philippines in the wake of charges of identity theft and corruption. Watching from afar, I've been shocked by details like: a fake sister, cybercrime rings hidden inside casinos, and questions about helicopters, a relationship with another mayor, and even body doubles (?!). Using clips from the Senate inquiry, national news, and Guo's original campaign vlog, I try to summarize how we got to where we are today.
