To find out we're going to have to take a tour back to the first K-pop idols from the 1960s and ask: What style of music is K-pop anyway? Did Tony Blair inspire the K-wave? Is PSY mocking, or celebrating the Gangnam neighborhood? And most importantly, if Blackpink told you to betray your government, would you do it?
