🦁 For the first time ever in AFLW, we’ve beaten the Dees in a final — on their borrowed dung heap — booking a home Prelim and a deserved week off. After a shaky start, the belief kicked in, the pressure rose, and a goal blitz flipped the entire match on its head.
🦁 Cathy Svarc shut down Kate Hore like a heat-seeking missile, Mullins and Dawes brought the perfect midfield blend, and the goal kicking was I Ice cold — that’s our brand.
🦁 Ally Anderson delivered one of the great finals performances, Dakota Davidson turned the game in the third, and Ellie Hampson reminded everyone she’s a big-moment player.
🦁 Eight straight wins.
🦁 First finals win over Melbourne.
🦁 Sixth straight Prelim.
🦁 And a whole lot of smugness earned.
🦁 Feet up, ice baths on — the roar is getting louder.
