We drove out from Seattle with the weather clear
Four of us set to climb the mighty Mount Rainier
Bob from Montana and Bill from Indiana
Myself and Joe with all our trusty climbing gear

While on Emmons Glacier strong winds began to blow
Sight was lost in the snow of Bob and Bill and Joe
I was alone and the outlook was mighty bleak
But I was a mountaineer mighty near the peak
