Description

We’ve all heard of the Great Wall of China, one of the wonders of the world, but did you know part of it was built to keep out a warrior Queen? Mandukhai the Wise led the Mongols for almost 40 years - the first 10 as an independent regent and the next 30 alongside her young husband who looked to her for advice. She instilled fear into the Chinese Ming Court and defeated powerful male warlords, working to forge a united Mongol nation.
