1) With all of our obvious problems, should we be optimistic about the future? Short term (2023), perhaps NO. But long term YES!
2) Too many young people are expressing pessimism to the extent that they do not want to have children. Is that reasonable?
3) A literally 'bright future' requires electric power. Renewables do not provide that. Can we think beyond renewables? Yes!
4) When will the renewable craze end? About ten years! That is when the current generation of windmills and solar panels will wear out, far before they are expected to.
5) When will the woke behavior end? It is hugely destructive of our image across the world. We are not all sexual deviates! Dictators like Putin and Xi can imagine themselves superior to us for this reason alone. This could disappear overnight, if people get enough of it and speak up.
6) Climate developments: Global Temperature Anomaly near 30 year average at 0.17 C. Long anticipated La Nina and negative PDO in full swing. Rutgers snow cover for Northern Hemisphere near record high. Large winter storm expected East of Rockies followed by cold temperatures. This will install the grip of winter.
