This week we discuss the deadliest wildfire in recorded human history, the Peshtigo Fire, which took place in Wisconsin in October 1871. Often overlooked for the Great Chicago Fire, which took place on the same day, the calamity struck due to a combination of an uncommon drought, deforestation in the area, and strong winds blowing in that stoked small fires into larger blazes - and maybe extraterrestrial or paranormal forces as well?
