In this episode, Amanda and Nell tackle a question that’s often on creatives’ minds (or at least in their heads 24/7) - will moving out of a major industry hub hurt your career?
Joining CUT! to share her journey is Jeanne Jo, a visual artist turned filmmaker from LA. She dives into the power of an alumni network and the unexpected twists in her career.
Jeanne’s work spans from directing and writing to visual artistry. Her horror-comedy short film, Tampoon, played at major festivals like Slamdance and Seattle International Film Festival, and won Best US Short at Another Hole in the Head Festival. She has also successfully sold a TV comedy series co-written with Keenan Coogler and produced by Paul Feig. With an MFA from RISD and a PhD from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, she brings a wealth of insight into navigating creative careers.
