Description

HIGH KING (Race 1) – Hard to miss the quinella (Don Corleone & Kundalini) who gapped third and had good closing sectionals, but the sneaky run was this bloke who was slow to begin. He had to do a bit of work to find his spot and then was held-up at a crucial stage, he hit the line in the fourth best last 200m of the day when clear. Completely excuse the margin.

SYRIAN STAR (Race 3) – He was 119-days between runs, and you could make an argument that he should have won. He was held-up and got shut out on several occasions. Only clear in the final furlong and his work through the line was the best in the race. Another one we can completely excuse the margin.

CARDONE (Race 5) – Good debut win over Shalatin and then was 35-days between runs. He bungled the start by 2-lengths and settled well back. He made a long-sustained run with too much to do in an evenly run race. His work to the line was great and think he will eat up six-furlongs next time.
