What does it look like to wait with joy? In Week 3 of our Christmas series, The Wait Is Over, Jeff Frazer walks us through Luke 2 and the story of the shepherds — ordinary, overlooked people who were the first to hear the Good News of Jesus’ birth. Their story reminds us that joy doesn’t come from circumstances, status, or success, but from encountering Jesus.

In this message, we’ll discover how true joy:

• Begins at the Bottom (God meets the humble, the overlooked, and the unlikely)
• Transforms Fear (God’s light moves us from fear to faith and hope)
• Has a Name (Joy is grounded in who Jesus is — our Savior, Shepherd, and Lamb)
• Moves Us Upward and Outward (Joy is received, then shared with others)

Through the shepherds’ response to the angels, we see that the Good News of Great Joy is for everyone — and it invites each of us to come and see and then go and tell.
