When Dr. Mortimer visits Baker Street with a tale of the supernatural—a monstrous hound said to stalk the Baskerville family—Holmes is intrigued. Sir Charles Baskerville is dead, and the footprints of a giant creature were found beside his body. Now the heir, Sir Henry Baskerville, is in danger. Holmes begins his investigation with the facts: a centuries-old curse, a suspicious death, and a man terrified of the truth.

This episode marks the beginning of Holmes’s most haunting case, where myth and logic clash on the foggy moors of Dartmoor.
