Description

On September 22, 2015, Basil Borutski set out on a path of destruction, murdering three women—Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk, and Nathalie Warmerdam—in a calculated spree that shook Ontario. These women had tried to escape his control, relying on a justice system that should have protected them. But instead, they were failed at every turn.

In this episode, we unravel the disturbing history of Borutski, his violent past, and the many warning signs that were ignored. How did a man with multiple convictions for domestic abuse walk free, unchecked, and able to carry out such horrific crimes? And why does the justice system continue to let victims slip through the cracks?

Join us as we break down the case, the failures that led to this tragedy, and the urgent need for change in how we handle domestic violence.
