WORLD WIDE TECHNOLOGY CHAMPIONSHIP
- Ben Griffin completed his incredible journey from mortgage loan officer to PGA Tour champion, firing a bogey-free 63. He started the day two shots back but kept the "pedal down" to win by two strokes at 29-under.
- The winning moment came on the 16th, with the call "Fill it up! Ben Griffin to twenty eight under!" as he drained a long birdie putt on a hole where he "did serious damage" all week.
- With his third win of the season, Griffin gets married in four weeks. His fiancée Dana said, "it's so fun to be along for the journey," and Griffin added, "It's hard to beat."
THE BUBBLE BATTLE
- While Griffin celebrated, the real drama unfolded on the FedEx Cup bubble. Chad Ramey and Sami Valimaki delivered clutch, career-saving final rounds to jump inside the top 125 and secure their PGA Tour cards for next season.
- Ramey started the week 123rd and shot 65; Valimaki started 103rd and fired a 64. Both finished T2.
- On the other side, final-pairing members Garrick Higgo and Carson Young couldn't keep pace, with Young's "revenge" narrative after last year's playoff loss falling short.
