Description

Bill Singleton was on his way to the American Legion convention in Philadelphia — a reunion he’d looked forward to all year. The city was buzzing with celebration, the hotels packed with veterans swapping stories, flags waving in the summer heat. But soon after he checked into the grand Bellevue-Stratford Hotel, something strange began to spread through the halls. Men who had marched through wars were suddenly struck by fevers, coughing fits, and crushing fatigue. Within days, dozens were dead — and no one knew why. Panic swept the city as rumours of poison, terrorism, and even government experiments filled the air. Doctors were baffled. The media called it the Philly Killer. And for months, no one could stop it.
