Description

The Bittersweet Podcast has partnered with MAV in interviewing facilitators of 2022 Ahead of the Curve Workshops. Workshops were centered around providing young creatives of colour with professional development while focusing on well-being and sustainability in the arts. They offered a safe space for diverse creatives to connect, cultivate self-care and well-being practices, and develop the skills to assist sustainability in the professional industry with a thriving art career.

This week we caught up with Rasha Tayeh a Palestinian nutritionist, herbalist, and artist. She is the founder and director of Beit e’Shai(“House of Tea” in Arabic) a social enterprise, popup teahouse and online store that preserves Palestinian herbalism and traditional Arabic medicine practices. We discuss the healing component of her practice, and how it can help people destress, and Rasha shares her secret herbal blend love potion - be sure to tune in!
