Kevin McGonigle, Detroit Tigers top prospect, has been named the Most Valuable Player of the Arizona Fall League. He led his team, Scottsdale Scorpions, to a great season with an impressive batting line of .362 average, .500 on-base percentage, and .710 slugging percentage. McGonigle hit five home runs, five doubles, and two triples, collecting forty-nine total bases, and stole three bases. He displayed excellent plate discipline, walking nineteen times compared to just twelve strikeouts. McGonigle led the Arizona Fall League regular season in hits, home runs, runs scored, and walks, making the future look bright for the Detroit organization.
