Stecher, a veteran with ten NHL seasons, has played for several teams and reached the Stanley Cup Final with the Oilers in 2025. He has scored 22 goals and 117 points in 566 regular-season games and 4 goals and 7 points in 29 playoff games. The Maple Leafs placed goaltender Anthony Stolarz on injured reserve in a related move.
