John MacLean, a key player on the New Jersey Devils 1995 Stanley Cup championship team, will be inducted into the Devils Ring of Honor on January 27th. This prestigious recognition places MacLean among an elite group, becoming only the fourth individual to receive this honor. MacLeans induction celebrates his significant contributions to the franchise, particularly his role in transforming the team from an underdog into a championship contender. He holds the unique distinction of being the only player in franchise history to achieve more than one forty-goal season, accomplishing this feat three times. His impressive career spanned nine hundred and thirty-four games in the National Hockey League. Following his playing days, MacLean continued his dedication to the Devils organization, transitioning into an assistant coaching role. The induction ceremony will take place on January 27th, just before the Devils face off against the Winnipeg Jets.
