The Vancouver Canucks, currently at the quarter mark of their 2025-2026 season, have faced a challenging journey with a 9-10-2 record. The team has been plagued by a high number of injuries, including key players like Thatcher Demko and Quinn Hughes, leaving five regular players on the injured reserve list. Their defensive play has also been a major concern, with a league-high 542 even-strength shots against and a struggling penalty kill unit. Despite these challenges, forward Kiefer Sherwood has been a standout performer, leading the team in goals and hits. The Canucks, however, have ruled out a full rebuild, and will continue to work with their current roster, aiming to turn their season around.
