The United Kingdom is set to launch its largest biochar carbon removal plant in Wiltshire, owned by Pure DC. This £24 million facility, managed by A Healthier Earth, will produce 11,500 tonnes of biochar annually, capturing and storing carbon for hundreds of years. The plant is expected to remove 18,500 tonnes of carbon each year, equivalent to the emissions of almost 6,000 British homes. It will create green jobs and offer specialized training, with major tech companies like Microsoft and Meta able to purchase carbon removal credits. This initiative showcases the UKs leadership in carbon removal technology and the potential for AI and climate consciousness to coexist.
