Description

Michaela Benthaus, a German engineer with paraplegia, made history as the first wheelchair user to reach space. She launched aboard Jeff Bezoss Blue Origin rocket, experiencing weightlessness for ten minutes. Benthaus, who was injured in a mountain bike accident, was joined by retired SpaceX executive Hans Koenigsmann. Blue Origin made minor adjustments for her, including a patient transfer board and wheelchair access. Benthaus, who never imagined space travel after her injury, hopes her flight inspires others with disabilities. Checkout Solipillow.com
