Description

MIT study suggests AI could automate nearly 12% of US workforce, with AI already capable of handling tasks in tech, finance, healthcare, and other professional fields. The Iceberg Index, used in the study, examined over 150 million US workers across nearly 1,000 jobs, focusing on AIs potential to handle these tasks. AIs uses extend beyond common applications, with financial firms using it for document processing and analysis, healthcare providers for administrative tasks, manufacturers for quality control, and logistics companies for fulfillment. AI is also already doing some entry-level jobs, causing companies to change hiring practices and reduce the need for entry-level programmers.
