Former NBA star and current Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups has pleaded not guilty to charges of profiting from rigged poker games, which allegedly defrauded victims of an estimated seven million dollars. The Basketball Hall of Famer faces serious accusations of money laundering conspiracy and wire fraud conspiracy, each carrying a potential sentence of up to twenty years in prison. Billups, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame last year, was released on a five-million-dollar bond secured by his family’s Colorado home. He is currently on unpaid leave from his coaching position with the Trail Blazers.
