Description

On November ninth, the American Veterans Traveling Tributes Traveling Vietnam Wall and Cost of Freedom Tribute arrived in Rancho Sahuarita, Arizona, offering a place for reflection and remembrance. This eighty-two-foot-long replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial carries the names of over fifty-eight thousand individuals who died in the Vietnam War, along with panels honoring fallen heroes from other conflicts. The display, founded by retired Lieutenant Colonel Don Allen, has been visiting communities across the country since 2005, aiming to bring the memorial experience to those who cant travel to the nations capital. Many visitors, including veterans and civilians, paid their respects, with some finding a final, poignant connection by touching the names of their fallen comrades. The tribute remained open to the public daily through Veterans Day, November eleventh, at the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse.
