Description

On November 9th, a historic bridge in Omaha, Nebraska, is set for demolition, causing significant traffic changes. The bridge at Seventy-second and L Street will be dismantled, not blown up, a process known as chewing. L Street has already condensed to one lane in each direction, and Seventy-second Street will close for nearly five days starting Thursday. Local businesses, like Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, face challenges due to the extended closure. The demolition process, which takes about eighty percent of the project, will be completed by next year, with a new bridge expected in the area.
