Description

Dominion Energy's offshore wind project in Coastal Virginia is on track, despite minor delays in turbine installation. The company's American-built vessel, Charybdis, is undergoing final checks and minor fixes. State regulators found a few quality assurance issues, but Dominion officials expect the vessel to begin installing turbines this month. Construction on the wind farm is progressing, with all foundational monopiles and sixty-seven transition pieces installed. The project is still expected to start delivering power by late March 2026, bringing clean energy to many Virginia homes.
