Description

In a shocking turn of events, a 27-year-old man from Rosemount, Spencer Curtis McAloney, has been charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, and illegal firearm possession. The charges stem from a fatal shooting in Saint Paul last Sunday, which resulted in the death of 32-year-old Tarik Hazem Hassan. McAloney, who was apprehended after a police chase, is currently being held on a $1.5 million bail. Witnesses reported that McAloney was acting paranoid and under the influence of drugs before the shooting. The incident occurred in an apartment known for drug use, with Hassan allegedly dealing powder fentanyl. McAloney, who has previous felony convictions, shot Hassan after accusing him of setting him up. Charges were filed on Monday in Ramsey County District Court.
