Hundreds of volunteers in Allegheny County united for Thanksgiving, delivering thousands of meals to those in need, particularly seniors and the less fortunate. The Salvation Army in Dormont prepared one thousand meals, distributed to thirty-eight senior living facilities. Lauren Fair, divisional social services director, emphasized the increased demand for food assistance, highlighting the meals significance beyond sustenance. In Ross Township, Dive Bar and Grills Yinzgiving event saw over three hundred volunteers deliver three thousand meals, demonstrating a broad community reach. Clint Kuskie, co-owner, and first-time volunteer Carlos Zozaya expressed their enthusiasm for next years expanded efforts.
