Federal Judge Overturns Murder Conviction of Jam Master Jays Godson; Acquittal Granted Due to Lack of Motive EvidenceA federal judge has overturned the murder conviction of Karl Jordan Junior, one of the men found guilty in the 2002 killing of Run-D.M.C. star Jam Master Jay. The judge ruled there wasnt enough evidence to prove Jordan Junior had a motive to commit the crime. Jordan Junior was accused of shooting Jam Master Jay inside a Queens recording studio in 2002. His lawyers argued that prosecutors lacked sufficient evidence to support their claim that he killed Jam Master Jay as an act of revenge for a failed drug deal. While Jordan Junior has been acquitted of the murder charges, he remains in custody awaiting trial on unrelated drug charges.
