Sandra Murison, a military wife from Somerset, is establishing a new amateur rowing club in Minehead, specifically for armed forces personnel, veterans, and their families. Inspired by EPIC GIGability in Cornwall, Sandra aims to foster community and provide a unique recreational outlet using traditional wooden gig boats on the Bristol Channel. She hopes to have over a dozen members by summer 2026, creating a sister club for the Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force communities in Somerset.
