Teenager Jared designs and builds a functional robotic hand using Lego bricks, inspired by his fathers work in robotics. The hand features four fingers with three joints, powered by two motors, and can pick up various objects. Jareds innovative use of Lego clutch gears mimics human hand movement. He co-authored an academic paper with his father and spoke at the Intelligent Robots and Systems conference. Their ultimate goal is to make the Lego robotic hand an official set, inspiring more children to explore robotics.
