Description

Jayden Woods, a freshman pass rusher for the Florida Gators, has emerged as a standout player despite a challenging season. With limited playing time, Woods has made a name for himself, earning praise from defensive coordinator Ron Roberts for his effort, intelligence, and high motor. Woods has contributed seventeen tackles, one and a half sacks, one and a half tackles for loss, and one interception. His schematic flexibility and instinctive playmaking ability were showcased in his interception against Mississippi quarterback Trinidad Chambliss. With starting edge rusher George Gumbs Junior injured, Woods will see extensive playing time in the Gators final two games. These games will provide Woods with valuable experience and the opportunity to further develop his technique and leverage, which are his strengths as a former discus thrower.
