Description

Real estate agents affected by iPro Realtys collapse will receive half of their unpaid commissions, starting as early as December seventeenth. The Real Estate Council of Ontario, led by Jean Lepine, secured these funds after five months of efforts, including freezing iPro accounts. The companys sudden closure left agents in a difficult financial situation, with approximately two thousand four hundred agents needing to find new brokerages. The Real Estate Councils delay in freezing iPros trust accounts, following a reported ten-million-dollar shortfall, has been criticized. The total losses are projected to be around thirty million dollars, with over two thousand five hundred claim forms received and more than one thousand assessed. The fifty percent payout is due to insufficient funds in the frozen iPro accounts.
