Their first virtual creation, Stone and Steeple, is a long par five inspired by A.W. Tillinghasts designs. Hanse and Wagner, known for restoring iconic courses like Colonial Country Club and Oakmont, aim to bring their traditional golf course philosophy to the virtual world. They draw from a vast database of golf concepts and designs, incorporating elements like Tillinghasts Sahara design and Tom Simpson-style holes. While there are no original Hanse-Wagner holes in this initial set, their signature elements like risk-reward scenarios and strategic angles are present. The designers can make these virtual holes harder than real-world courses, catering exclusively to professional players and pushing the boundaries of golf course design.
