NC States Justin Joly, a tight end, has been named a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award, recognizing the nations best tight end. Hes the only ACC rep among eight semifinalists, after a strong season with 36 receptions for 365 yards and 5 TDs. Despite missing a game, he leads his team in receptions and TDs. Jolys standout performances include a 101-yard, 2-TD game against Pittsburgh. The Wolfpacks tight end group, led by Joly, has combined for 9 TDs, making them a national leader. However, competition is fierce, with Vanderbilts Eli Stowers and Baylors Michael Trigg also in the running.
