Description

He prowled the bars of Manhattan in the 1990s, targeting queer men who simply wanted a safe place to be themselves.

Richard Rogers was a nurse by day, a monster by night. Dubbed “The Last Call Killer,” he used gay bars as his hunting ground—luring men in with charm, drugging them, and leaving their dismembered bodies across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. For years, the killings went unsolved, largely ignored by authorities who dismissed the victims as disposable.

This episode dives into how bias and institutional apathy allowed a serial killer to remain hidden in plain sight—and how the queer community fought to have the victims remembered.

Hosted by Jordi and Brad, Beers With Queers tells the stories that too often go unheard.
