Description

By the age of just 23, Amy Molloy had lived a life most people wouldn’t experience in a lifetime.

A widow, recovering from a severe eating disorder, with a father who made a miraculous recovery from the brink of death, Amy channeled her trauma the only way she knew how… she put pen to paper.

The author of a number of books, along with an extraordinary career as a magazine editor, Amy was born in the UK but now calls the South Coast of New South Wales home, where she lives with her husband, two children and another child on the way.

There are so many ways Amy has turned her lemons into an opportunity to empower other people. Her latest project is a collection of childrens' books, which help kids identify and process emotions, and it's framed in such away, it’ll soothe the adult reading it too.

Amy is a wealth of wisdom and knowledge and I’ve no doubt you’ll enjoy listening to this chat as much as I enjoyed chatting with her.

We discuss mental illness, grief, trauma, resilience, how to break free from victimhood, the strength in vulnerability and storytelling, seeking professional help, motherhood, love and learning to slow down.
