Romala Garai is best known for starring in period television shows such as The Hour, Emma, The Crimson Petal and the White and The Miniaturist. Her big screen appearances include acclaimed films I Capture the Castle, Atonement and Suffragette.
Now she is making her debut as a writer and director with a horror film Amulet. A homeless ex-soldier in London is offered a place to stay at a decaying house, inhabited by a young woman and her dying mother, and begins to suspect something unnatural is living there, too.
