Elliot Ackerman is the author of Waiting for Eden, the most beautiful, slim, searing book about the wife of a soldier and how she deals with his return home as a compromised version of himself. It's about the effects of the military on families and the inner struggles on the path to loyalty. Elliot is a brilliant writer whose prose makes me want to underline every sentence.
