Description

The incredibly talented Matthew Lee Robinson zoomed into The Play Haus this week to chat about his extensive career as a professional performer, composer/lyricist and arts educator.

Scene 10 unravels Matthew's life as a composer and lyricist, especially in creating his own musicals and work, 'Atlantis: The Musical' and 'Metro Street'. We chat about his friendship with Aussie icon Lucy Durack, as well as his mentorship with Stephen Schwartz. Matthew tells us about his time working professionally in 'Pippin' and 'Mamma Mia!', as well as advice for writing a musical, advertising shows, the creative process, dealing with overthinking and channelling, self-care and getting starting in the performing arts industry. We also learn many valuable lessons about grants and asking for opportunities, and even hear breaking news about Matthew's upcoming workshops on TuneUp! #themarketingtrain #selfcare #sayyes
