Although the UK has abolished the death penalty, it remains prevalent in many countries across the world. Listen as Carolyn unpacks the issues associated with gathering accurate information on the death penalty, particularly in Asia where in some countries death penalty practice is a ‘state secret’. And hear about her efforts to secure political will to bring about change, which led to the president of Zimbabwe drawing on her research to argue for abolition there.
