This week is a bootleg recording (if doing it myself is considered a bootleg) of the show I performed last Friday, the day the UK left the EU, whilst in the Channel Island of Guernsey. I was headlining a comedy night at the beautiful St James' Concert Hall bar.
I thought it might be nice to document the night and how I was feeling. It was interesting to do it on an island that is a tax haven (not part of the UK, but under the protection of it) that is home to many many banks and the places where our pension funds actually make money. If Brexit negotiations go badly for the Channel Islands, there's not much to stop them aligning with a European country (there's 27 to choose from) for the money to continue without impediment.
So, that's the context with which i had to make jokes. And I think I did just fine!
