Very emotional beginning to this episode, as we talk about the tragic loss of Kelly's cousin Jonny as well as, the closing of our hometown skate shop—a place that shaped not just the local skate scene but also our own lives. Losing it feels personal, and we reflect on how spaces like these build real community. Of course, this also means revisiting our skater boy phases—because, honestly, were you even cool if you didn’t have one? We then get into the cultural impact of RuPaul’s Drag Race and how we’re in a strange moment for fashion, where trends are dictated more by your algorithm than any single industry standard. With endless places to shop and so many niche aesthetics, it seems like everything is trendy simultaneously. We also talk about how the rise of podcasts as entertainment has changed our relationship with music. While we love podcasts, we miss when music felt more experimental—before everything started sounding like it was made to fit inside an algorithm-friendly box. Let artists be artists—and maybe provide them with healthcare while we’re at it. -We love you, Chappell Roan. Lastly, a lesson in speaking up: if you’re getting a tattoo, say something if you don't like it.
