The dignity of predecessors serving successors by personally preparing them for leadership, sacrificing leadership for these successors, then helping to sustain them, far outweighs any indignity caused by such a great sacrifice. The greater the sacrifice the greater the mutual affection between those who have freely given and received this great sarifice.
