To get an insight into the development of the digital payment process, Cédric travelled to Bern and met with Thierry Kneissler, CEO at Twint AG. Thierry Kneissler built an impressive career in the banking industry. He studied Economics at the University of Bern and completed an MBA programme at the University of St.Gallen. After working for Post Finance for 11 years, Kneissler started leading Twint in 2014. What fascinates him the most about running a fintech startup is the opportunity to make changes and shape the future of the payment process.
Twint AG develops innovative digital solutions in the Swiss financial sector. Twint app was a product of collaboration between two major Swiss fintech initiatives: Twint (supported by PostFinance) and Paymate. The idea soon gathered the biggest Swiss banks: UBS, Raiffeisen, Credit Suisse, PostFinance, Zurich Cantonal Bank and BCV.
